Volunteers Needed!!!

 

The 19th Annual Ohio Lesbian Festival, to be held Saturday Sept. 13, 2008,
is looking for women who want to get into the festival for FREE!!!   Any
woman who volunteers for a 4 hour work shift is given free admittance to the
festival.

 

With the addition of a second stage (Limelight Stage) and the extending of
food hours, there are many more shifts to choose from in both the afternoon
and evening. What better way to meet women than by working in the Food Tent
at night?  Watch women dance the night away (till 2am!) while selling drinks
and food down at the Limelight Stage? And if you want to have the day free
to play, sign up for a work shift for the day before (Set-Up) or the day
after (Tear Down). As always we have shifts available in the General Store,
Childcare, Food, Front Gate and Facilities. Spend several hours seeing how
the festival runs from "behind the scenes" while at the same time saving
$40.

The Ohio Lesbian Festival is a not-for-profit, volunteer driven womyn only
event designed to promote womyn's economy, community and art.  The Festival
recognizes that in the world at large, heterosexism and woman hatred are the
norm.  The Festival was founded on the premise that Lesbians and queer womyn
need opportunities and spaces to recognize and support each other, to define
our culture, to find our own strengths and to be empowered.   All womyn are
welcome.
