The Ohio Lesbian Festival has an amazing line-up of workshops and presenters
this year.  The following workshops will take place on Saturday and Sunday,
September 11th and 12th, from 9am throughout the afternoon both days.  More the
reason to order the full weekend ticket!

Some of the featured weekend workshops are "Belly Dance Basics" by Jessica
Chandler & Anna Matsuba,  "Today's Real Estate Market" by Cindy Dunigan &
Carolyn Frey,  "XXAlix's Current Events" by Alix Dobkin,   "Ovarian Cancer 101"
by Chris Gillespie, "Healing with Humor" by Karen Williams and the always
popular Drumming Circle with Wahru.   AARP (for the 50+ crowd) is sending Jane
Lincoln from DC just for a special Sunday workshop!

If you sleep in late on Saturday you will miss finding out what your dog can do
with positive training techniques,   how to use Vedic Astrology Dates to find a
suitable mate and lover and Danced Based/Low-impact Aerobics (a great way to
start off the day!).  We have artistic workshops such as making your own flamed
bead,  stained glass for beginners, and how to make your own prayer beads.
There are spirituality workshops including "Earth-based Religions and
Sexuality", "A Fresh Look at John 3:16",  "Sexuality and Spirituality - Can
Christians reconcile the two?"

Other Saturday workshop topics include:

- "Talking to Your Kids about Different Lifestyles & Choices"
- "Lesbians with Cancer"
- "Taoist Tai Chi Demonstration" and a "Try-It" workshop.
- "Legal Ways of Empowering & Protecting Our Loved Ones"
- "Making Humane Food Choices"
- "LGBT Equality in Ohio - What You Can Do About It"
- "Understanding the Spectrum - Inclusion in the GLBT Community"
- "Everyday Music"
- "So You Think You're a Lesbian? - Transgendered Lesbians Speak Out'
- " Deaf Culture 101 - How to Flirt & Basic Needs When Meeting Deaf Womyn"
- " How to Make Sex Safe and Fun"
- " Kick'in Butt and Takn' Names"
- "Feminist Activism to End Violence Against Women"
- " It's All About What You Eat - Living Organically"
- " Butch-Femme: A Conversation"

As if the lure of french-press coffee and fresh waffles at the General Store
won't  be enough incentive to be bright-eyed on Sunday morning, all the
single-and-looking gals will want to look their best for the "Fast Forward
Dating" workshop where you can meet available women in a pressure-free, fun
environment. You can also take Karen William's "Healing with Humor' workshop,
learn about "The Empty Nester: How are you coping or are you?", join a
discussion about "So You Want To Ride a Motorcycle",  find out about the
"Paradigm Shift: Creating a Health Development Plan" and hear a panel of 3 women
talk about "Old Lesbian Pride: Learning to be Allies in the Struggle to
Challenge Ageism".

Workshop coordinator, Adlai Neubauer, is still taking workshop applications thru
August 30, 2010.  You can contact her at adlai56 at gmail.com.

The 21st Annual Ohio Lesbian Festival will take place September 10 -12, 2010.
